Charlie Millard Autry

Charlie Millard Autry 92 passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at his home.

Charlie was born in Sampson County on July 2, 1933 to the late Lillie Draughon and Ernest Autry.

A Home Going service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church located at  2316 Maxwell Rd, Autryville the burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A walk through will be held one hour before the service at the church.

Charlie was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and he loved getting together with family for gatherings and holidays. Charlie's favorite song was "Amazing Grace". He would often lay in bed and hum the song over and over. Charlie knew that he was saved by God's endless grace and today we find comfort in knowing he sits by the throne of the Father and we will see him again some day.

Those who preceded Charlie in death include his wife, Dorothy Williams Autry; two sons, Randy Autry and Bryan Autry; daughter-in-law, Brenda Autry; and sister, Berline Lindsey.

Charlie leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter: Tonya Autry of the home; son: Gregory Autry of the home; sister: Christine Lockheart of Maryland; and one grandchild: Jamion Autry of the home. Charlie also leaves a host of extended family and friends.
