Clinton,
Charles Ray Evans was born on January 29th, 1963, in Clinton, North Carolina. On Friday June 18th, 2021, Charles transitioned from his earthly home.
Charles was the son of the late Fred Evans Jr. and Annie Ruth Parker Evans. Charles was raised in the Bearskin Community and attended Clinton City Schools. He joined the Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church years ago. Charles was a carefree spirited person that loved life, loved people, and he helped many. Everyone called him Stoney.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, wife: Brenda Joyce Moore Evans; brothers: Rev. Fred Evans (Eva D. Evans), James Frank Evans, and a host of aunt and uncles.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 4721 Bearskin Rd, Clinton, with Bishop Eddie Parker officiating,
Charles leaves to cherish his precious memories, two daughters: Shelley Evans and Lashaun Evans both of Clinton, NC; one special daughter: Tisha Rich of Roseboro, NC; two sisters: Gracie McDoe (late Paul McDoe) of Clinton, NC, Annie Pearl Smith (Agustus) of Hope Mills, NC; one brother: Clifton Evans (Rico) of Teachy, NC; seven grandchildren: Jakaria Evans, Nakeviah Evans, Tamia Evans, Morgan Jackson, Theron Evans, Jayden Jackson & Alizya Henry all of Clinton, NC; one great grandson: Koa Evans of Clinton, NC; one special grandson: Arion David of Roseboro, NC; one special niece: LaTonya Murphey of Durham, NC; two sister-in-law’s: Kathy Evans of Clinton, NC, and Mary Murphey of Durham, NC. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm with family present from 5;00 pm – 6:00 pm.
