Charles Darren Faison, 52, passed away on December 5, 2020.

Charles Darren Faison was born on July 2 ,1968, to Charles T. Faison and Vita (Libertino) Faison at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ.  He was blessed to be affectionally raised by his grandparents, Warren H. Faison and Catharine Faison (mom and dad).

Darren, as he was lovingly known, attended the Englewood Public Schools, graduating from Dwight Morrow High School. At a young age, Darren, along with his grandparents, joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, in Englewood, where he served in the Youth Ministry. As he became a young adult, he developed his gift of singing, which allowed him to sing in various choirs and lead worship all over the state of New Jersey.

Unbeknownst to him that his gift of singing would be a call from God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Darren was licensed and ordained by, Anointed Word ministries Paterson, NJ. This calling from God would allow him to preach and run weekly revivals from New York City all the way to Florida and every state in between. Darren also founded a ministry in Kinston NC. (Word Power Deliverance Ministries) where he met and married Ms. Jessica Franklin. To this union were born three beautiful children, whom he loved very deeply.

Darren had his own trials in life. Like all of us those, situations would take him on a detour from ministry, but ultimately, he truly loved the Lord.

A home going service will be held at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Ronnie Faison officiating, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery.  Friends can visit with family one hour prior to the service, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

Darren had a heart of gold which made him loved by so many. He was an advocate for love, life, and family. He was the youngest boy of 5 children. He is survived by his four beautiful children, Isaiah, Glory, Zion, and Liberty Faison; his grandmother Catherine Faison (mom); two brothers Charles Faison of Kentucky and Warren Faison of Tampa, Florida; two sisters Maria Chimenti of Upstate New York and Chernita Peay of New Jersey, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

He will be truly missed.
