Carol Norris passed peacefully to her eternal home on the morning of May 31, 2025 at Rolling Ridge Nursing Home in Newton Grove, NC.
There will be no formal services held at Carol’s request. A private burial will take place at Ridgeway Cemetery in August.
Carol grew up in northern New York and graduated from Franklin Academy in 1964. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and dancing. Carol always had an eye for fashion! She stood out in a crowd and it was always interesting to see the fashion of the day. While living in Florida, Carol was employed by high-end clothing stores. She enjoyed working with clients to help them find the perfect outfits for every occasion.
Many nieces, nephews, cousins and siblings, had a great time when visiting in Burke, NY. Adventures were numerous and fun. Trips to Canada for Huntington hot dogs, trips to the A&W, and drive-in movies, to name a few. And let’s not forget her love for Michigans and Glazier hot dogs. She always found a way to take a pack home, no matter where she was living at the time.
Most importantly, Carol asked the Lord Jesus to forgive her of her sins and invited him into her heart and life. It did not make her perfect, but forgiven! Based on that decision, those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, will see her again! The Bible says “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!” She is not in our past, but in our future!
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Walter William Moore and Hazel Fenton Moore; brothers Justin Moore, Roger Moore, & Harold Moore; sisters Jean Russell, Betty Elmore & Wilma Rutledge.
Carol is survived by her brother, Gary W. Moore and wife, Mary M. Moore of Burke, NY and her former husband, Hayden (Sam) Norris of San Antonio, Texas.
Carol also loved and cared for her step-children Hayden E. Norris (Heather), Gregory Norris, Michael Wells and David Wells. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren: Ben, Susanna, Adrian and Tytiana. Carol is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
