On Friday, January 24, 2020 the gates of heaven opened. God stopped by and stretched forth his hand and guided another soldier home. Billy grabbed a hold of Gods hand and silently went home.
Billy Ray Fryar was born February 14, 1944 to the late Bishop Arthur Fryar Jr. and Ida (Williams) Fryar. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Arthur (AJ) Fryar. Billy lived in Murfreesboro, TN for thirty years prior to coming back home to Sampson County. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam era.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1PM at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel located at 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC with Dr. Ernest L. Fryar officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Roseboro Community Cemetery-Snowhill located at 985 Marion-Amos Road in Roseboro, NC.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters: Armelia F. Williams (Carmen), and Mary Fryar Morgan (Solomon) whom he loved, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00PM- 1:00PM.
