Mr. Billie Nelson Simmons 78, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Billie was born March 23, 1947, in Sampson County to the late Ollie Odell Ammons and Jessie D. Simmons. Billie worked as a truck driver for Murphy Brown and loved hunting, fishing, and going to yard sales. He loved the hunt for a good antique.
Funeral Service to be held Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Holly Grove Holiness Church, 1519 Indian Town Rd., Clinton, NC. Burial will follow in the Simmons Family Cemetery located on Indian Town Rd., Clinton, NC.
Visitation will take place the hour prior to the service, 2:00-3:00 pm, within the chapel.
In addition to his parents, Billie is preceded in death by his siblings: Earl Simmons, Janice Jacobs, JD Simmons, Golious Simmons, Judy Fortner, and Lori Ann Simmons.
Billie is survived by his children: Bobbie Joe Simmons and boyfriend Bill of Salemburg, NC, Chuck Burgess and wife Crystal of Rose Hill, NC, Ryan Simmons of Beulaville, NC, Brandon Simmons of Roseboro, NC, Michael Norman of Salemburg, NC, Derek Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, Alaina Simmons of Virginia, Will Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, Dalton Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, Khloe Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, and Yvonne Rackley and husband Lee of Clinton, NC. He also leaves to cherish his memories, his siblings: Harold Simmons and wife Patsy, Sam Simmons and wife Francis, Allen Gene Simmons and wife Nancy, Faye Jacobs, and Brenda Ammons, all of Clinton, NC; 8 beautiful grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a special family friend: Kay Simmons of Magnolia, NC.
