Our heavenly father in his infinite wisdom and divine love gave our beloved mother, Betty Lou (Parker) Williams 79, her final orders and transitioned her to a place of eternal rest on the morning of Friday, October 4, 2024 at UNC Johnson Health in Smithfield, NC.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Cedar Point Disciple Church, 1258 Cedar Point Rd, Newton Grove, NC 28366. Overseer James Carr, Presider and Pastor Gary Jones, Eulogist.
Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 pm, with family present 5:00-6:00 pm, on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
Betty Lou Williams, daughter of the late Clyde and Janie Parker was born in Sampson County on September 26, 1945. She joined Cedar Point Disciple Church at an early age and received her education at Pleasant Grove School. She worked as a cook for over 47 years at Henry’s Cafe now known as Eddie’s Café in Newton Grove, North Carolina. Betty had a love for fashion, cooking, and most importantly family.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 45 years, Alexander Williams, five brothers, Clyde, Benjamin, Earl, Larry, and Richard, and a great grandson, Semaj Williams.
Betty Lou leaves to cherish her precious memories daughters, Linda (Bruce) Sanders of Smithfield, NC, Barbara (Charles) Riley of Newton Grove, NC, sons, Alexander and Gregory Williams, of the home; sisters, Apostle Della (Bishop Ronnie) Sanders, of Selma, North Carolina and Ella (Richard) Owens of Newton Grove, North Carolina, 10 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Two bonus daughters, Bobbie Brewer and Annie Lou Wright; her best friend, Ethelene Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
