Clinton,
Antonio Garner aka Tony 58 was born on April 18, 1962 in Clinton NC. He peacefully transitioned into glory on February 11, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of the late Jerry and Sallie Garner. He was also preceded in death by his wife Kathy H Garner and sister Jo-Ann Boone.
Antonio graduated from Clinton High School in 1980, Upon graduation, Tony joined the US Air Force where he served his country for four years. In 1982, Antonio and Kathy wed and to their union, they had three children. After serving in the Air Force, Antonio went on to become a truck driver where he traveled all over the United States. Antonio loved to go fishing, ride dirt bikes and grill for his friends and family, especially his famous ribs. He was a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Antonio is survived by his children: Antonio Garner Jr (Shafena) of Hope Mills, NC; Desnee’ Ebner of the home; Tierra Garner Hickmond (David) of Fayetteville, NC, 11 grandchildren; Amaiyah, Atiyanah, Emmanuel (Hammer), Amariyon (Gus), David, Makiya, Cassidy, Sarayah, Andrew, Harper, and Noah. Four sisters, Denise Garner of the home, Janelle Cousins of Clinton, NC; Lola Bennett (Austin) of Fayetteville, NC; and Kim Rouse of Warsaw, NC. Two brothers Michael Conley of Fayetteville, NC and Romeo Garner (Diane) of Greenville, NC. Two Aunts: Gloria Parker (Earl) of Clinton, NC and Nancy Fisher (Paul) of Roseboro, NC. Two Uncles: Thaddeus Conley (Betty) of Clinton, NC and James Garner (Regina) of Clinton, NC,Two Special Friends/Brothers Carl Troublefield, and Keith Harding and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy Clinton, NC, from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. Family will be present from 5:00pm - 6:00pm.
A Home Going service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Burial will follow at Bearskin Cemetery, Salemburg, NC.
