Alice Wright 56 passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her home.
Alice Wright was born July 13, 1966 and was raised in Mt. Olive, NC. She was the daughter of Carolyn Wright, also born and raised in Mt. Olive, and James (Boot) Leonard Sr. Alice's siblings were three brothers: Dwight King of Mt. Olive, NC, James Leonard Jr. of Goldsboro, NC, Tyronnie Cox of Goldsboro, NC; and two sisters: Dorothy (Mike) Dewitt of Cape Canaveral, FL and Nora (Dula) Robinson of Goldsboro, NC.
Alice had 4 children: Vernon Faison, Jerome Demond Wright, Dorail Wright, and Sandra Chinitia Williams. She also leaves a new grandbaby: Kiana Dior Faison; goddaughter: Lameaka McClarin; 3 additional godchildren: Nayquan Kornegay, Kanija Kornegay, and Taveon Kornegay; and a very special best friend/sister: Peggy.
She is preceded in death by her father: James (Boot) Leonard Sr.; maternal grandmother: Mary Jane Wright; paternal grandmother: Doretha "Fatz" Leonard; paternal grandfather: Wesley Seaberry Sr.; and maternal aunt: Alice Wright Deboise.
No Services will be held at this time.
My mother was a loving, caring, and honest woman who deeply loved her children. It was always just us. I am going to miss my mom very much.
