Mrs. Agnes Maybell Chevallier 65, daughter of the late Agnes Grace Melvin, was born August 14,1960 in Sampson County, NC and she departed this life on Wednesday November 5, 2025 at Yanceyville Health Center in Yanceyville NC.
She was known by many as 'Big Bell' and enjoyed playing poker with her friends and family.
Funeral Service for Agnes will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at New Life Outreach Ministries, 708 Sampson St, Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Leonard Henry, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery, located just down from the church at 3 Sampson Street, Clinton, NC.
Agnes was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her grandmother, Emma Melvin; sister, Peggy Darden; brothers, David Melvin, Sherrel Melvin, and Albert Melvin; special aunt, Queen Esther Wilson and nephew, Jeffery Melvin.
Visitation will be held 2:00-6:00 pm, with family present 5:00-6:00 pm, on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, daughter: Whitney McDonald of the home; sons: Tony Chevallier (Dikia) of Clinton, Tyrone Chevallier (Benice) of Clinton, Jhonthan Raynor (Pui) of Clinton, Justin Woods (Melody) of Clinton, Worlie Sperman of Clinton, Deondre Melvin of Clinton, and a very special son, Maurice Royal of Clinton; sisters: Brenda Ann Jackson of Lehigh Acres, FL, Louretha Locke, Bunnie of Clinton; sisters-in-law: Annie Melvin of Clinton and Peggy Melvin of Clinton; 30 grandchildren, 6 great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; special adopted granddaughter, Erica Satchell; and special niece's, Tiffany Melvin and Dianna Melvin.
