Mr. Willie Wortham was born on September 27, 1947, to the late Willie Wortham and Mattie Vann Wortham in Sampson County, NC. He peacefully departed this life on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Magnolia Retirement Center in Clinton, NC.

Willie attended Clinton City Schools. Upon graduating, he joined the Air Force. After his service in the military, he became a carpenter and roofer. Willie was a man full of wisdom and enjoyed talking and laughing with people. Willie married Lula Autry. To this, one son was born.

In addition to his parents, Willie is preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Wortham and Valerie Nathan and one nephew, Eric Bass.

A Home Going Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel; 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Lula Wortham of Clement, NC, one son: Raysean Wortham of Clement, NC, one sister: Linda (Ed) Bass of Clinton, NC, one brother: Michael Wortham of Clinton, NC and a host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
