Willie Beamon 62, departed this life for his heavenly home on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Willie was born in Clinton, NC on September 9, 1959 to Artelia Gilbert and the late Edmond Spell. He attended Clinton High School as part of the class of 1977. Willie proudly worked for the City of Charlotte Special Transportation for 15 years.

Willie is preceded in death by his father, Edmond Spell; brothers, Robert Underwood and Edmond Spell Jr.; and sisters, Jacqueline Williams and Iris Gilbert.

Left to cherish the memory of Willie are his mother:  Artelia Gilbert; his children: Willie (Tiffany) Williams of Charlotte and Amani Peters of Charlotte; brothers: John Cassanova (Consuela) Gilbert, Matt Gilbert, Aaron Gilbert, William Gilbert, Jimmy Underwood, Ed Underwood, Larry Underwood, Kenny Spell, Almond Spell and George Spell; sisters: Shirley Jones and Alice McAllister; eight grandchildren: Markese Simmons, Destiny Simmons, Zavion Williams, Joseph Rich, Calee Adams, Jamarion Williams, Tamya Williams and Sierra Williams;  and three great grandchildren: Jahsai Sykes, Aubrionna Williams and Raeyln Goodson.

Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday August 20, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, located 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328.

Visitation will be 2:00-7:00 pm, family present from 6:00-7:00 pm, on Friday August 19, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328.
