Walter was born in Sampson County in 1932 to the late Jessie & Katie Ashford Parker, He was a former councilor for Archway and a cab driver, fishing and hunting were among just some of his hobbies. A Home Going Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Hope Valley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harold Boykin officiating. Burial will be held private at the family's request.
