Walter Williams Jr. 66, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Mr. Walter Williams, Jr affectionately known as "Junior" and "Lamb" was 66 years young. He was born on April 20th, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to Dorothy and Walter Williams. Junior entered into his final rest on July 13, 2023.

Junior graduated from Teaneck High School in Teaneck, NJ and attended Bergen Technical School in Hackensack, NJ where he specialized in Culinary Arts. Like his father, Walter (Fat), Junior was affectionately known as "The Chair Doctor" because of his expert craftsmanship as a renowned upholsterer. Junior was also well known for his auto detailing business, where he employed many of his cousins and friends in need of support and mentorship. Despite his declining health, it was Junior's love for his skill and commitment to hard work that brought him deep joy and fulfillment. Junior loved his family and friends deeply and was always willing to lend a helping hand and to do whatever was needed to get the job done. Words cannot fully express how much he meant to us as a son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. His love, laughter, and spirit will forever be in our hearts and minds.

A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328. The burial will follow at the Williams Memorial Cemetery at 4020 Waycross Rd, Magnolia, NC 28453.

Junior is predeceased by his sisters Phyllis Williams-Highsmith, Sandra Williams-Highsmith, and Cynthia Williams, and his nephew TreWalter Highsmith. He leaves here to cherish his memories: his parents Dorothy and Walter Williams, his godmother and aunt Betsy McLeod, his children Lateese Williams, Moniqua Williams, Tyisha Williams; his beloved grandchildren Jaeden Williams-Edmonds, Meziah Lankford, Isaiah Gaskin, and Micah Gaskin, his beautiful nieces Tawauna, Rachel, Robyn, Alexandra and his nephew Sam … and the many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that all had the blessed pleasure of knowing and loving Junior.

We will all love and miss him greatly and will continue to do so until we meet again.

A walk-through visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10:00 am-1:00 pm, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328.
