Ms. Velma D. Freeman 71, daughter of the late Elbert and Mary LouDella Devone was born on the 24th day of August 1951.The Lord called her home on the 14th of June 2023 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Earl Freeman, and one brother Edward Devone.

Home Going service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at The Eleventh Hour Ministry, 508 S Washington Street, Dunn, NC 28334. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Alex Benton Rd Newton Grove, NC.

Visitation with family and friends will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the service at the church.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life: Six children's, Edward Devone (Rachel) of Benson NC, Anthony Freeman (Queenie) Dunn NC, Lakesha Williams (Ricky) Lillington NC, Tieshia Robinson (Donell) Erwin NC, Sharika Jones, Kendrick Smith, Dunn NC, and Quinton Smith of Fayetteville NC. Two sisters, Annie Lou Wright of Dunn NC, and Sharon Devone of Springfield Massachusetts. One brother William Cooper, Mount Olive NC. Sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Three special friends, Bobbie Jean Giles, Jawanda Mckoy Davis and Linda Jo Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews' relatives and friends.
