Mr. Thurman Ray Edwards was born on May 9th, 1947 in Smithfield, NC. He departed his life on December 10, 2020, in a nursing home in Four Oaks, NC.

Mr. Thurman Edwards was also known for being a great guitar player and sung with the Gospel Lights and Sensational.

He is preceded in death by his father: Jethro Edwards, mother: Mildred Blue Edwards, one sister: Ruby Wilson, two brothers: James Edwards & Jerry Edwards.

A walk through will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.

Thurman Ray Edwards leaves behind to cherish his memories, one son: Greg McDonald, two daughters: Carolina and Kathy Robinson, one sister: Mary Owens of Clinton, NC, one sister-in-law: Ruthie Edwards of Roseboro, NC, and his care taker: Ms. Olivia Pointer. Thurman also leaves to cherish his memories 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

Home Going Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, with burial following in the McNeil Cemetery, 1258 Christmas Tree Road, Dunn, NC.
