Thomas Armwood 80 passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

On Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the wee hours of the morning, God called Uncle Buddy home now he has embarked on a new journey to a land that is free of sickness, sorrow, pain & death.

A Home Going Service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328.

Thomas "Uncle Buddy" was born on June 6, 1940, to the late Almond and Hespie Armwood. he attended Duplin County Public School System. He worked at Collin Precision early in life. Uncle Buddy left Faison and went to Chicago in December 1960, he later returned to Faison in July 1999. Uncle Buddy worked at Shell Gas Company as a tire technician. He also did maintenance work and had a newspaper stand. After he came back to Faison he worked with Ms. Elva Carter, Uncle Buddy found his love early in life in 1999 Ms. Mary Shivers. She preceded him in death as well as 7 brothers: Whiley, James, Cleo, Kibly, Matthew, Charles, Egar. 5 Sisters; Mable, Eva, Lillie bell, Annie Mariah and Annie Eliza.

Uncle Buddy leaves to cherish his memories: sisters: Evelyn Armwood and Lurvancie Teachey both of Faison, a sister-in-law; Laddie Armwood of Faison and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel.
