Terry Lee Evans 64 passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home.

On July 6, 1956, Terry Lee Evans was born to the late Eddie Evans and Della Evans. He joined Sampson Chapel Church and received baptism at an early age.  Terry was very crafty and very talented with his hands. He was a certified welder with a degree from Sampson Community College. Outside of holding various jobs, he was very well known in the community for helping others in many ways, such as mowing yards and helping at church. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. He considered himself a master chef and motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to his parents Terry is also preceded in death by a sister: Alice Newkirk.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Little Field Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC, with Pastor Joe Evans officiating.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter: Mitesa, granddaughter: Makeiylin (Puff), stepdaughters: Tamica and Rose, stepson: Peter, brothers: Joseph (Carrie), Eddie (Helen), sisters: Margaret (Knox), Evelyn, one special aunt: Mary Bryant, lifetime friends: Joe Butler and Sheila Brewington, a host of other relatives and friends.

A public walk thru will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
