Teressa Hicks 58, of 100 Jones St., passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at her home.

Teressa was born January 24, 1965 in Harnett County to the late Corbett Lee Smith and Margi Goodman. Teressa worked in healthcare as a medical technician. She loved spending time at the beach and going fishing. Teressa also enjoyed gardening and watching humming birds. She could often be found reading, crocheting, or watching her favorite shows on TV. Teressa loved to tease and argue with Gordon and adored spending time with her grandchildren.

Teressa is preceded in death by her parents, Corbett and Margi Smith; and sisters, Becky Hobby and Sylivea Price.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, 12:00-2:00 pm, within Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel.

Left to cherish the memories of Teressa: her husband, Gordon Hicks of the home; children: Nina Smith of Salemburg, Corbett Hicks of Autryville, and Kayla Hicks of Autryville; her seven grandchildren; and one sister, Debbie Capps of Benson.
