Tara Renee King, 37, of Clinton and Rose Hill, NC, passed away on May 4, 2025. She was born November 9, 1988 in Clinton, NC.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, May 9 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Clinton, North Carolina at 6 p.m.

Tara is survived by her three children, Levi Powell (12), Dakota Powell (10), and Makaylynn Powell (10), of Rose Hill; her mother, Toni W. King of Rose Hill; her sister, Jessica K. Blanck and husband Lucas of Cary; her brother, Tyler King and fiancée Mary Elizabeth Sides of Rose Hill; her grandmother, Patti Warren of Newton Grove; and her nieces and nephews, Rivers Wrenn, Anna Kathryn Wrenn, and Gabriel Blanck.

She was preceded in death by her father, Christopher D. King; her grandparents, Doug and Dot King; and her grandfather, Ray Warren.

Tara loved her family and friends, protected those she loved, and spoke her mind. She had a heart for generosity and an unshakeable will. And her unforgettable personality left a mark on everyone she knew. She was a proud Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldog and a 2007 graduate of Hobbton High School. She loved softball, fishing, her faith, and her children above everything else. She worked hard, loved harder, and didn't do anything halfway.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to her mother, Toni King, to assist with final expenses.
