Shuwanda L. Murphy 38, Passed away Saturday December 17th ,2022 in Syracuse NY.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
Shuwanda was better known as Duke. On December 17th, God decided to call her home. She wasn't ready to leave her family, but God had other plans for her. He grabbed her hand and she smiled because she knew that he had the last say. She wanted to say goodbye to her parents, but God said that he'd take care of that. She was the life of the party and she'll definitely be missed. She always made people smile and she had a big heart. She loved to party and was always dressed to impress. Shuwanda was born in Sampson County, but she left NC when she was 13 years old. She died in Syracuse, NY, but she considered NC to be home.
She leaves to cherish her memories:
Her parents, Walter & Debra Murphy. She had one sister, Christian Murphy Williams. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lorine Oates Freeman & Walter Hump Freemen, Willie David Murphy & Annie Lou Murphy and her
uncle Michael Faison. She leaves several aunts and uncles, Annie Gray Murphy, Linda Alexander, Angela Murphy, Carolyn McPhail (Donnell), Brenda Freeman, Sandra Freeman, Dorothy Hickman (Kenny Ray), Mittie(Robert Stevenson), Willie Boot Murphy (Debbie), James Murphy (
Connie), George Murphy, Parsell (Sebrena), Carsell Murphy, Jerry
Murphy , Michael Murphy. She had several cousins and friends. He'salready listed above, but Mike was very special to her. They hung outtogether almost every other day. He doesn't know what he's going to do without his niece (Duke). She also leaves a special friend of the family,
Donald Gainey.
