Sandra Gayle Tucker 71, peacefully passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in the comfort of her home.

Sandra was born April 22, 1951 in Duplin County to the late Mary Elizabeth Phipps and Jessie Tucker. She worked in healthcare as a CNA and in her spare time she enjoyed being outside where she  could often be found sitting on her porch listening to the beach music she loved so much and enjoying her plants and flowers which she planted in her yard. Sandra found joy in her fishtanks and took pride in decorating and taking care of them. She also enjoyed cooking and baking delicious dishes for others to enjoy.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Mary Elizabeth and Jessie Tucker, as well as a sibling, Beatrice Reynolds.

Left to cherish the memory of Sandra are her children: Teresa Byrd of Clinton, Andrea "Pebbles" Byrd of Durham, and Melissa "Missie" Thomas of Sneads Ferry; siblings: Betty Bland of South Carolina, Vivian Sigwald of South Carolina, Lynwood Tucker of South Carolina, Tommy Tucker of Faison, Danny Tucker of Faison, and Connie Dail of Seven Springs; grandchildren: Kaitlyn Byrd, Jaziya Marable, Brittany Baker, Steven Luke Thomas, and Carmen Thomas; and great grandchildren: Allison Brockmiller, Bryce Baker, and Joshua Marable; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm, Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel located at 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow in Faison Town Cemetery.

A Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. The Family will receive guests other times at the home of Teresa Byrd, 301 Melva Brook Rd., Clinton, NC 28328.
