Ruth (Nichols) Osborne 88, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Ruth was born March 1, 1935 in Guilford County to the late Shuler and Lillie Nichols. She worked for many years as an upholstery semstress. She enjoyed fishing with her late husband, reading when she was able to, and was a wonderful cook. More than anything she loved her family and friends very much.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Shuler and Lillie Nichols; her husband Banks Osborne; daughter Vickie Osborne; and two sisters Barbara Lambeth and Nancy Parker. She is also preceded in death by her beloved cat, Casper.

No services will be held at this time.

Left to cherish the memory of Ruth are her children: Kathy (Harley) Brewer of Wilmington, NC, Richard Osborne of Knoxville, TN, and Jeffrey Osborne of Myrtle Beach, SC; as well as 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
