Russell W. Register Russell (Russ) Wayne Register, 61, passed away at his home in Turkey, North Carolina on Sunday, December 11th 2016. He was born in Sampson County, North Carolina on May 19th 1955 and was the adopted son of Hugh Russell and Gertrude Bordeaux Register Trella. He was raised in Clement, North Carolina and graduated from Clement High School. Through his life, Russ worked with the Department of Corrections at Central Prison, Georgia Pacific, Cook's Machinery Company and Maola Milk before he founded his own business, Country Friend Chimney Sweep which later evolved into Hydro Sweep. Russell is survived by his loving son, Christopher Hunter Register, daughter-in-law Jessica Register, faithful companion dog Bear, and his step-father Stan Trella. He was preceded in death by his father Hugh Russell Register and mother, Gertrude Bordeaux Register Trella. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 20th 2016 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service and Cremation located at 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, North Carolina 28328.
