Robin LeAnne Best 60 of 800 Kennedy Street was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at approximately 10:40 a.m. at Kitty Askins Hospice & Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro, N.C. Born on September 9, 1955 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Milford Bethune and to Betty Payne Bethune. Robin attended Clinton High School and worked for The Sampson Independent Newspaper. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Edward A. Best. Robin leaves to cherish her memories: Mother: Betty Bethune of Clinton, N.C. Daughter: Phenique Payne of Clinton, N.C. Son: Edward Best Jr. of Clinton, N.C. Brothers: Reginald Bethune of Clinton, N.C. Thornton Bethune also of Clinton, N.C. Sister: Jaine Ford of Brooklyn, N.Y. A Home Going service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Andrews Chapel Baptist Church, 2541 Reedsford Road, Clinton with Rev. Gerald Underwood officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
