Robert Elemon West 85, of 486 Lockamy Road, died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at his home.

Robert was born in Sampson County on November 7, 1937 to the late Vinnie B. House and Otis West. He worked in home construction and in his free time he enjoyed playing music and singing, fishing, and watching old western movies.

Preceding Robert in death are his brother, Glenwood West; grandson, Jacob E. Morrison; and bestfriend Charlie "Jr" Brewington.

Funeral Service will be held 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Blackman's Grove PFWB Church, 1362 Timothy Rd. Dunn, NC 28334. Pastor Ricky Lee, officiating. Burial will follow at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1000 Fairground Road, Dunn, NC 28334.

Visitation will take place at 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.

Left to cherish the memory of Robert are his children: Della (Ricky) Faircloth of Coats, NC, Robbie (Jesse) Carter of Smithfield, NC, Wanda (Nathan) Lee of the home, Linda (Jimmy) Morrison of Chapel Hill, NC, Danny Jackson of Roseboro, NC, Darleen Jackson; 26 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and special friends Clyde and Melissa Burkett.
