Robert L. Shackleford 72 of 607 Williams Street passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home.

Home Going service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Greater Hope Christian Church, Hwy 421, Clinton, burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery.

He attended Union School District.  He became a faithful church member of Milton Grove Baptist Church.  Years later he became the Pastor of Greater Hope Christian Center.

He leaves behind a devoted wife Bishop Dorothy Shackleford.  He was the father of four children; Mary Joyce Fennell (Gabriel Boykin), Tyler (Lisa) Fennell, Ursula Faison (James) Lee, and Robert Shackleford Jr. (Dolly McNeil).  He also leaves behind grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews.  His sisters are as followed: Dorothy (Freddie) Hooks, Mary Grey Williams, Clementine (Bryan) Loton, Mamie Ruth Shackleford, Lula Bell Shackleford, Mercy Freeman, Diane Shackleford (deceased) and Margie Shackleford (deceased).  Brothers as followed:  A.J. Shackleford Jr. (deceased), Jesse James Shackleford, and Deon Shackleford.

A public walk thru will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
