Robert "Buddy" L. Furr, 69 passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Sampson Regional Medical Center. Robert was born on May 20, 1953, in Alexandria, Virginia to the Barbara Tart and late Robert L. Furr, Sr. He was educated in the Alexandria Public School System and received his diploma from George Washington High School in 1971. Buddy's hobbies were fishing, detailing cars football and basketball. If you knew Buddy, you didn't bother him while watching his favorite football team the Washington Redskins or following his granddaughter Shakira career on the court who was recently drafted to the WNBA Washington Mystics.

Buddy leaves to cherish her precious memories four loving children: Rashad Furr (Michelle) Auburn, GA, Karen Smith (Toby) Albuquerque, NM, Robert Syrkes, Sr. (Crystal) Sanford, NC and Jessica King (Theodore) Social Circle, GA; fourteen beloved grandchildren: Antuan Pendergraph, Brandon Burton, Shakira Austin, Robert Syrkes Jr., DaQuane Brown, Devin Burton, Demetria Ferguson, Taurean Wyatt, Teandra King, Tobias Smith, Kadance Furr, Amaris Smith, Cheyanne Syrkes and Enzo Furr; his endearing mother Barbara Tartt, Woodbridge, VA; two sisters: Lynda and Jewel Furr, Woodbridge, VA. Buddy was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Furr, Sr. Buddy leaves a host of extended family and friends. Buddy will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

At the families request, there will not be a public service.
