Mr. Robert Wayne "Wayne" Adams, Sr., 76, of 537 Kitty Fork Road, Clinton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Wayne was born in 1950 in Harnett County to the late Wyatte Adams and Astraudia Lockamy Adams. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and attended North Carolina State University. Wayne had a lifelong love for farming, enjoyed hard work, cherished his family, and was a faithful member of Owens Grove Pentecostal Holiness Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wayne Adams, Jr.; his daughter, Amber Adams; his sister, Margie Joanne Ramsey; and his brother-in-law, Donald Ramsey.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Owens Grove Pentecostal Holiness Free Will Baptist Church with the Reverend Marty Dupree officiating.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Mrs. Anne Morris Adams of the home; his children, Amy Adams and husband, Jason of Cicero, New York; Angelyn Mays and husband, Donovan, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Bradley Kearley wife Deedee Hopkins of Faison, Charles Faulkner of Clinton; and Denyse Faulkner of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Highway, Clinton, North Carolina. At other times, the family will be at the home, 537 Kitty Fork Road, Clinton.
