Richard Wilkes, 71 years of age of 81 Golden Eagle Lane, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday August 31, 2022 at his home.

Richard was preceded in death by his Father: William Nash Wilkes; his Mother: Betty Wilkes Anders; his son: Johnny Ray Wilkes; one infant daughter; four brothers: David Wilkes, Chris (Milton) Wilkes, Ricky Earl Wilkes and James Earl Wilkes; one sister: Connie Melvin; and his best friend Wardell Emanuel.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 5:00 pm on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at Coharie United Methodist Church, 4890 US Hwy. 421 North, Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Bill Chaney Jr. & Pastor Roy Hilburn officiating.

The Family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00-5:00 pm at Coharie United Methodist Church.

Richard leaves behind his soulmate: Sudie "Sue" Richardson of the home; his son: John Curtis Wilkes of Clinton; his two daughters: Sheena Marie Wilkes and Melissa Ann Medina, both of Clinton; one sister: Effie Tyndall of Angier; one brother: Donald Wilkes of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and loving friends.
