Perry Julius 'Nickie' Smith, 79 of 590 Reedsford Road, Clinton, NC, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his home. 

Honoring the wishes of Perry, he will be cremated. Service details will be announced at a later date.

Perry was born in Poughkepsie, New York on June 14, 1947, to the late Martha Lillian 'McRae' Smith and the late Perry Smith

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Percival Ranger.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Sister, Jacqueline Espinoza, of the home; Brother, Haywood F. Smith (Monica), of Birmingham, Alabama; his Significant Other, Tammy Pridgen, of the home; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
