Peggy Gurganus Nicholson, 71 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on July 1, 2020. She was a member of Newville Baptist Church, Waverly, VA

She is survived by her  sons: Clarence (Eddie) Chambers; Hugh (Randy) Collier, wife Christine of Waverly, VA.; Benjamin Collier. Daughter: Sandra Oates (Benjie) of Clinton, NC. Brother: Kenneth Gurganus of Waverly, VA. Grandchildren: Michaela Oates, Ben Oates, Serena Chambers.  Step-Grandchildren: Greg Edge (Sara), Austin Smith, Emily Smith.  Step-great-grandchildren: Dexter and Scarlet Edge.

She was preceded in death by husband: Kevin Nicholson. Brothers: Danny Gurganus and Leon Gurganus

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society

A public viewing will be held from 6:00pm - 7:00pm Friday, July 3, 2020 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328

A private service we be held at a later date.
