Peggy Holland McKenzie 79, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.

Peggy was born March 19, 1943 in Sampson County. She made her career in healthcare as a CNA and in her spare time she loved spending time in her garden. She also loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the time she shared with them.

A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband James Anderson McKenzie and her brother Billy Holland.

Left to cherish the memory of Peggy are her 3 sons: Eric McKenzie and wife Debbie of Benson, NC, Randall McKenzie of Newton Grove, NC, and James Patrick McKenzie and wife Catherine of Newton Grove, NC; her sister Helen Godwin of Newton Grove, NC; and her grandchildren: Jessica, Nicole, and Caleb. Peggy will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by those who knew her.
