Peggy Ann Edwards 75 passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Peggy was born in Halifax County on February 20, 1948 to the late James M. Perry and Fannie I. Magoon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending her time sewing, cooking, and working in her garden.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Edwards; her parents, James and Fannie Perry; and her siblings, Bessie Westbrook and Loretta Price.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, on Friday, June 23, 2023 at St Matthews Pentecostal Holiness, 1900 Bradshaw Rd, Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow in the Warren Family Cemetery located on Warren Mill Rd., Newton Grove.

Visitation will take place 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Left to cherish Peggy's memory are her children: Glenda (Jimmy) Barbrey of Clinton, Karen Phillips of Clinton, and Jason (Amy) Edwards of Clinton; sibling: Christine Stallings of High Point, NC; grandchildren: Kristin Barbrey, Kayleigh Edwards, Dawson Edwards, and Chase Johnson; and one great grandchild: Colton Wiggins.
