The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 408 College St. in the chapel with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating. The family will receive friends Friday night at his daughter's home at 1293 Tyndall Bridge Road in Salemburg from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm and after the service on Saturday. Mr. Ward was born November 3, 1927 to George W. and Lima King Ward. He was a member of First Baptist Church I Clinton and attended at Adult Five Men's Sunday School class. Mr. Ward was a Veteran of WWII, When he retired from the trucking industry he enjoied spending time at the beach as well as watching NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Frances Jordan Ward of the home; two daughters, Ann Merritt and husband Jerry of Clinton and Terry Fann and husband Kent of Salemburg; two sons, Mike Ward of Clinton and Tim Ward and wife Debra of Clinton, nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and one brother Billy Ward of Nauvoo, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Gertrude Ward Davis and one brother; Jay W. Ward.
