Obituary

Clinton, Natalie "Nat" Delorse Simmons transmitted on January 9, 2017 at her home. Born May 10, 1977 in Clinton, NC, she was the daughter of David and Mary Herring. Natalie received her education in the Clinton City School system and graduated from Clinton High School in 1995. She attended Winston Salem State University from 1995-1997 where she studied recreational therapy, she obtained a degree in medical technology from Fayetteville University, she was also enrolled in Kaplan University where she was pursuing a degree in medical billing and coding. Natalie was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she worked with the youth missionaries, the youth choir, youth ushers and praise dancers. She was a member of the Daughters of Zion, the Adult Usher Board and the Adult Sunday School Class. Natalie was employed at Southeastern Orthopedic Clinic in Lumberton, NC for four years, currently she was employed at Commwell Health in Harrells, NC. A Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church 900 College Street, with Rev. Thomas Farrow Jr. officiating, burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery. She is preceded in death by a daughter Mia Simmons. Natalie leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved children: Son: Dion Simmons of the home Daughter: Cheyenne Herring of the home Parents: David and Mary Herring of Clinton, NC Sister: LaPonda (Tony) Graham of Atlanta, Ga. Maternal grandmother: LuEllen Kirby of Clinton, NC Uncles: Albert Kirby, Jr. of Clinton, NC, Roosevelt (Kaysee) Kirby of Sacramento, Ca., David (Melissa) Kirby of Lumberton, NC Jonathan Herring of Connecticut Aunts: Sherlene (Victor) Fryar of Clinton, NC, Alberta Kirby of Fayetteville, NC Miriam Herring of Atlanta, Ga. Nephews: Antoine and Marcus Graham of Atlanta, Ga. Niece: Shaniqua Graham of Atlanta, Ga. A special uncle and aunt: Bobby and Linda Kirby and a host of cousins, extended family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church 900 College Street from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm with family present from 6:00pm - 7:00pm and other time at her parents' home at 820 Southwest Blvd. Clinton.
