Cross
March 13, 1962 – October 14, 2022
Clinton,
It is with great sadness that the family of Mick Cross announce his sudden passing on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the age of 60.
Mick was born in the United Kingdom and raised in Lancashire, England by his parents David and Vera Cross, as the eldest of 4 siblings. He enjoyed a happy childhood playing football and spending time on his grandparents' farm with his cousins. He had a keen interest in ice skating, rally car driving and tractor pulling. He had many fond memories of his time on Lisca Farm. Mick was the proud father of three beautiful daughters. He spent 20+ years as an over the road, international truck driver. Mick relocated to the United States in 2005 after meeting the love of his life, Janette.
Everyone who knew Mick saw his endless love for his wife, Janette. He worked hard to maintain the farm they built together. He enjoyed volunteering by sharing his love of animals with people of all ages. He often spent his free time on roadtrips with Janette as they enjoyed eachother's company traveling in his Dodge Ram. He loved carefree days on the beach, Janette's cooking and tractor trailer computer simulators. Mick's favorite place to be was surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Cross, birth mother, Julie Pryce and grandchildren, Myla and Caleb.
Mick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixteen years, Janette Williams-Cross; his mum, Vera Cross; children, Rebecca Miller (Mason), Vickie Cross, Jeffrey Potrzuski, Elizabeth Santamour, Jemma Cross, Kameron Kang, Hollie Cross and Lily Kang (Austin); grandchildren, Isaiah, Sam, Masey, Cooper, Stevie, Greyson, Emjae, Ethan and Theo; sisters and brother, Anita James (Neil), Pam Bowling (John) and Richard Cross (Lauren) and numerous nieces and nephews. .
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sampson County Western District Park. Family and friends are invited to gather to share fond memories with one another. His family asks that casual attire be worn, his favorite color was blue. Please avoid black clothing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local 4-H organization in Mick's memory.
Hope Valley Hawkins is honored to serve the Cross family.
