Melvin Earle Getchell, 73, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his home.

Melvin was born in Bangor, Maine, on December 13, 1946 to the late Earle and Florence (Murphy) Getchell.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by a sister: Frances Woodbury

Melvin is survived by his four children: Timothy Getchell of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Todd Getchell, and Tammie Lewis both of Spring Lake, NC, and Penny LaFord of New Hampshire, two brothers: James Getchell of Maine, and Dana Getchell of California, eleven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Melvin will be cremated and will return home with his family.
