Maurice (Rock) Robinson was called by our Lord and Savior. His sister and nieces were at his bedside as he slipped away.

He was the son of the late James (Hook) and Dorothy Robinson Hargrove and the brother of the late Lauresa Hargrove, who lost her life in February.

Maurice joined the Marine Corps after graduating from Clinton High School, he was the class of 1972.

He served several years stationed at Cherry Point in Jacksonville, NC as an aviation helicopter mechanic, he was one of the best at repairing those helicopters. Maurice retired from Carolina Dry Cleaners where he worked for many years as a presser for his grandfather Moses and his father "Hook".

Home Going Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at New Vision Christian Church, 2102 Hobbton Hwy. burial will be held at the

Sandhill State Veterans Cemetery in Springlake, NC at a later date.

Maurice is survived by his sisters:

Aunts: Loretta Wynn, Genotia Robinson, Ora Boykin of Clinton, NC, Evelyn Brown of Delaware,

Patricia Fowler (Corrie) of Chicago, Ill.,  Doris Kelly (George) of Clinton, NC, Denatilus Price (Vernon) of Henderson, Nevada and Ida Carr of Goldsboro, NC.

Lifelong Friends: Benard Register, Orlando Price and Kenneth Brunson of Clinton, NC,

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Vision Christian Church, 2102 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
