Mary Eliza Phillips was born on December 24, 1949, to the late Samuel Williams and Eliza James Patterson. Mary gained her wings and transitioned to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021.

Mary attended Hargrove High School in Dunn, NC and enjoyed being a full-time mother and wife seeing her children grow and reach important milestones in their lives.

Mary was married to Eddie Jay Phillips over five decades. In addition to her parents Mary was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Jessica Lashea Royal and brother George Williams.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm with family present from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories: Brothers: William Geddy, (Sadie), Dunn , NC and Samuel Williams (Lillie), Dunn, NC, Sons: Eddie Jay Phillips, Jr., Raleigh, NC (Keonna), Timothy Ray Phillips, (Lakechisa), Clinton, NC, Michelle Denise Royal of Spanaway, WA, Contina Tersa Frederick, Fayetteville, NC, Toland Yates Phillips, (Belynda), Clinton, NC.  14 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.

A Homegoing service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery.
