Marline Reaves Hicks 72 of 129 R. Hall Lane Autryville NC died Friday June 23 2023 in Atlanta Georgia.

Marline was born on October 12, 1950 in Alabama to the late Mary Joe and Edward A. Reaves. Marline had a green thumb and loved to spend time gardening.

Marline is preceded in death by her parents: Mary Joe and Edward A. Reaves; as well as her sister: Rosemary Simmons.

Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2023 at Faith Builders Christian Center, 2600 Wade-Stedman Rd, Stedman, NC 28391. Burial will follow in Ray Family Cemetery, Autryville, NC.

Visitation with the family will take place 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Left to cherish Marline's memory are her loving husband of 52 years: Joseph Hicks of the home; children: Carl Hicks (Sherry) of Autryville, Dean Hicks (Veona) of Garland, Michael Wayne Hicks of Clinton, Williams Hicks (Jaime) of Roseboro, and Tim Rossiter (of Jacksonville); sisters: Earline Hall of Rocky Mount and Kathy Fisher (Ray) of Roseboro; brothers: Horace Reaves (Ida) of Fayetteville, Ricky Ray (Beth) of Roseboro, and Billy Ray (Jennifer) of Autryville; grandchildren: Dana Horne, Carla Hicks, Tabitha Hicks, Nicolas Hicks, Helena Hicks, and Kaylee Hicks; and great grandchildren: Nathaniel Horne, Addalyn Horne, and Liddia Horne.
