Marlene Foxworth 79 of 1050 Butler Island Road died on Friday, December 24, 2021 at her home.

Marlene was born in Robeson County on May 3, 1942 to the late Roy and Hester Locklear. She worked for years in healthcare as a caregiver to special need. Her favorite color was pink and she loved spending time in the garden enjoying the flowers and butterflies. She also loved cooking for her family, canning, and singing, and going to church.

Preceding Marlene in death are her parents Roy and Hester Locklear also first husband Robert Lee Capps, second husband Ronald J. Foxworth, and brothers Willis Locklear and Stafford Locklear.

Services will be Thursday January 6, 2022 at 1pm, At Lighthouse Pentecostal Church (5420 East Ocean Hwy, Winnabow, North Carolina 28479) officiating service Pastor Charles A. Drew.

Marlene leaves behind to cherish her memory in her children Marlillian Cimino of Rural Retreat, VA and Annette Morel (Le-Roy) of Roseboro, NC; siblings Buddy Locklear of Dunn, NC, Doris Weaver of Virginia Beach, Linda Strider of Pinebluff, NC and Randy Locklear of Pinebluff, NC; her eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
