Mark Steven Boozer, age 59, passed away on June 9, 2021, at Johnson City Medical in Tennessee.

He was born on August 31, 1961, in Norfolk, Virginia to Festus S. Boozer and Melva Stevens Boozer. Steven worked in retail grocery, for Maola Milk Co. and Coca Cola Bottling Co. until his declining health in 2008. He was a very passionate sports fan, especially seeing Carolina win over Duke.

He is preceded in death by his father, Festus S. Boozer Sr. and an infant brother, Britt Boozer.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, NC.

Steven is survived by, his mother: Melva S. Boozer of Wilmington, NC; son: Cody Boozer & fiancée Holly of Hickory, NC; sisters: Betty Jane Casteen & husband Nelson of Magnolia, Tammy Mercer & husband Charles of Newport, NC, Elizabeth Boozer DeVore & husband Edward of Columbia, SC; brothers: Festus S. Boozer Jr. & wife Sandy and Wade Luther & wife Lois all of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Tammy Nichols. He leaves behind his 4—legged friend Mandy, who was by his side for 15 years.

He was loved and will be missed by all.
