Mamie Lee Johnson 59 of 411 A. Sampson Street passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at UNC Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mamie Lee Johnson was born May 2, 1963 to the late Sol Johnson Sr. and Annie Mae Johnson.

Mamie came to North Carolina to work on farms in her younger years and after her health began to decline she found joy in cooking delicious meals for those she loved. She also loved listening to good music. Mamie had a gentle spirit, a caring soul, and was kind to all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328.

Mamie leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Sudie Mae Wyrtt of Tennessee, Sol Johnson Jr. of Tennessee, and Jessie Johnson of Florida. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and her best friend Johnnie Barber of Clinton, NC.
