Lydia Walls 52, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Atrium Health of the Carolinas in Charlotte, NC.

Lydia was born January 15, 1971 in Lenoir County to the late Howard Franklin Walls and Hazel Marie Mitchell. Lydia had a feisty personality. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family. She could easily be described as a mother to everyone, but Lydia's family meant the world to her. They were the most important thing in her life.

Lydia is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Hazel Walls; a brother, Frankie Walls; and sister, Vickie Walls.

No services will be held at this time.

Left to cherish the memory of Lydia are her children: Jacob Lee Helton, Jacquelin Martinez, Anagabriel Martinez, Victoriana Martinez, and Isabelle Martinez; adopted daughters: Daisy Nava and Angel Nava; fiance Juan Francisco Nava Mendez; a brother: Wade Walls; a sister: Melissa Sanderson; grandchildren: Kip Cruz Johnson, Christian Lee Martinez, and Ky'Jay Lee Carroll; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
