Lonnie was born in 1938 in Sampson County to the late Roscoe and Alberta Hayes Matthews, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret King. A home going service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Hayes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
