Lonnie "Buddy" Daw 68, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at Genesis Healthcare Mt. Olive Center.

Lonnie made his grand arrival on Christmas Eve, December 24,1957, to parents, the late James M. Daw and Juanita Pettaway. He worked for himself doing odd jobs, including mechanic work. Lonnie had a passion for old cars and fixing them up. He also enjoyed fishing in his down time and listening to country music. His favorite gospel song was "Lord Don't Move That Mountain". In his final days, Lonnie would sing it often.

Funeral Services were completed in private. No further services will be held.

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his brother, James Earl Daw.

Left to cherish the memory of Lonnie are his daughter, Jennifer Gail Daw-Jacobs of Robeson County and grandchildren, James "Jay" Young, J'Kwan Turlington, and Jamaica Turlington.
