Lisa Michelle Carr 39 of 2384 Claude Drag Road, Roseboro passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Lisa was born January 9, 1984 in Sampson County to parents, Shelia Carr and Donial Highsmith. Lisa made her living working in healthcare as a PCA.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ida Lee and Wade Graham Highsmith; her aunt: Margaret Hairr, and Shirley McLean; uncles: James Highsmith, Frank Highsmith, and Jerry Highsmith.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 531 Marion-Amos Rd, Roseboro, NC 28382. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Snow Hill Cemetery, located off Highway 24 on Snow Hill Church Road in Roseboro.

Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 pm Saturday, June 24, 2023, with family present from 5:00-6:00 pm, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Left to cherish the memory of Lisa are her children: Elizabeth Carr, Christopher Carr, and Sarah Hemmingway all of the home; mother Shelia Carr of Roseboro, NC and father Donial Ray Highsmith of Cedar Creek stepfather James D. Owens of the home; grandparents Glenna Newton of Autryville, NC, and Johnny McKnight of Garland, NC; siblings: Franklin (Tiona) Carr of Snow Hill, NC, Valerie Carr and son Kay'Den of Clinton, Iesha Highsmith of Burgaw, Donial Ray Highsmith Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, bonus sisters Debbie Owens, Kathleen Owens, and Latisha(Tremain) Kellam; a Host of Special Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, and special friends; special friends: Donald McLellan and, Pay Parker; and special cousin: Stephanie Owens. She was a loving mother, friend, sister, and confidant to everyone.
