Lindell was born on April 14, 1946 to the late Sadie and Lindell Ray Bell Sr. in Sampson County. He worked for many years as a furniture inspector for Klaussner Furniture, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. He took pride in his work and was respected by those who worked with him.

Lindell was a devoted man of faith whose love for the Lord was the center of his life. Above all, he was a family man. He was blessed with a very large family, whom he loved dearly and considered one of his greatest blessings. His love, faith, wisdom and presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and never missed an opportunity to remind his family how much they meant to him.

Beginning in the 1980s, he traveled throughout the area ministering to others and sharing the love of God wherever he went. One of the things he cherished the most was visiting nursing homes, where he could spend time with the residents, pray with them, and offer words of comfort and encouragement. His ministry was not simply something he did, it was a reflection of the compassion and love he carried in his heart.

Outside of his professional and ministry life, he enjoyed the simple blessings of life. He took great pride in his beautiful yard and loved spending time outdoors caring for it. He planted trees and flowers, bringing the beauty of God's masterpiece to his own yard. As the years go by, those plants will continue to grow and provide beauty for generations to come.

Those who knew him will especially remember one of his familiar parting words whenever a loved one was headed out: "Hold it in the Road." It was a simple phrase, but it was filled with the love and concern he carried for his family. It was his way of saying, "Be careful and make it home safe."

His life was one of faith, service, family and love. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy in the many lives he touched through his ministry, his kindness, his prayers, and his unwavering love for his family. Though he will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught, the prayers he prayed, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is now at peace in the presence of the Lord he so faithfully served.

Along with his parents, Lindell is preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Frances Fisher Bell; Siblings: Adrian Price Bell, Sallie Lucille Fryar, Mozelle Hollingsworth, Lucy Grey Bell, Yvonne Shepard, Eunice Marie Brown, Morris Claxton Bell, George Elton Bell, and Stanford Ray Bell.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Christina Corriher of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren: Sarah Gilbert of Winston-Salem, NC and Seth Gilbert of Asheville, NC; sisters: Doris Faye Batten and husband Bobby of Asheboro, NC and Barbara Ann Ricks and husband Ricky of Wilmington, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

I have fought the good fight, I have won the race, I have kept the faith. -2 Timothy 4:7
