Linda Gail Mitchell 72 of 304 Stetson Street passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Linda was born January 11, 1950 in Clinton, NC to the late Steven and Lizzie Street. She worked in the dry-cleaning business for many years. Linda had a natural talent for playing the piano and loved to play and sing any chance she got. She loved her church and was dedicated to serving the Lord. In her free time she loved to watch episodes of her favorite show, "I Love Lucy". Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Hedin Mitchell Jr. and sister Annie Lee Naylor.

Funeral services will be by invitation only per request of the family. A walk thru will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Left to cherish Linda's memory are her two loving children, daughter Windy Creach and husband Jason of Clinton, NC and son Thomas Mitchell of Clinton, NC; sisters Rebecca Wood of Jacksonville, NC and Kate Dudley and husband Sherwood of Clinton, NC; her two grandchildren Tyler Creach and Cameron Creach; one great-granddaughter Mina Creach; and a host of nieces and nephews.
